Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a self-defense martial art and combat sport based on grappling, ground fighting, and submission holds. BJJ approaches self-defense by emphasizing taking an opponent to the ground, gaining a dominant position, and using a number of techniques to force them into submission via joint locks or chokeholds.

Gi Jiu-Jitsu is grappling with the use of a traditional Jiu-Jitsu uniform, or Gi. It allows you to grab the clothing of your opponent to control or submit them. In No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu, you don't wear the traditional uniform. Rather, there are more wrestling based grips such as collar ties, wrist grabs and joint controls. As a result of having less ability to control your opponent with grips, No-Gi jiu-jitsu is a faster-paced form of grappling.

Eskrima is a Filipino martial arts that focuses on the use of sticks, bladed and impact/blunt weapons, improvised weapons, and hand-to-hand (empty hand) techniques. Eskrima is also known as Kali and Arnis. This Philippine martial arts style uses weapons such as a Yantok (fighting stick), Baraw (knife), Bolo (machete), Bankaw (staff), etc. Eskrima is best known for its stick fighting skills.
